Finally the day arrived and she would not get her head out of my placenta long enough for a good pic. Maybe it’s like a comfy pillow??? Apparently 10am was too early for her to wake up. (Just like daddy) LOL! So finally we coax her out of the placenta only to have her place her leg over her face…and then the other leg on her forehead. Next came the arm and forward to grab the leg. 23 minutes later we accepted the fact that she wasn’t interested in picture day.
We are now rescheduled for 7/7. Stay tuned for what hopefully are better pics. Here are some for now.
JUNE 30 3D ULTRASOUND
June 26, 2010 Pre-term Labor Scare!!
Finally…an update. OMG!!! Had some contractions yesterday. Of course I was completely unaware of what those were. Needless to say I called the doc and they sent us into labor and delivery. I started to cry of course, but quickly pulled it together not to worry my amazing honey who took great care of us. AJ was on his way to drop his car off for repairs when I called. He quickly turned around and was home in no time. He was so worried. I felt really bad for him. I know I shouldn’t think this way but I felt so special how he took care of me. He is such a great daddy. He was so worried we would have the baby and weren’t totally prepared. Turned out to be a good scare because we are now making sure the bags are packed.
Considering I am 7 months prego, not a bad idea. LOL! Anyway….turns out my gallon of water per day is not enough and it caused the uterus to contract. Apparently I am not the only one with this issue. They had 3 other girls in for the same thing that day. Guess the 113 degree heat is a lot when you are prego. Thank god it wasn’t more serious. They sent us home and ordered me to movies all weekend.
The highlight of this turns out to be that I now know hospital gowns suck and I ordered my own pink and black one from www.ivwear.com. I was also able to talk AJ into watching the movie Valentines Day with me. He must have reeeeaaaaally been feeling sappy to watch that.
Stay tuned this next week. It should be exciting!! 3D ultrasound Tuesday which will be streamed on the internet and if anyone would like to see it hit us up. You need a special invite to view it. Sunday is the big day….we will officially be husband and wife and I will be MRS. AJ LARSON. YEEEAAAAH!! The following week is the 30 week ultra sound which means more pics so stay tuned!!!

MAY 01, 2010 FINALLY A KICK!!
So….I finally felt the baby move!!!
When we had our ultrasound to determine the sex of the baby they said I would feel her move in the next week or two since she was only 8 ounces. Well everyone else I know felt their baby at 16-18 weeks and here I am at 20 weeks and no kicks yet!!!!!! After going to work Friday to hear Molly and Amber say that they had felt their baby weeks prior I was ready to cry. I called the doctor immediately and she said we will wait 2 more weeks and then we will look further. I have heard horror stories that this can be a sign of a serious issue, such as the baby not growing. Well low and behold we are at dinner last night and I am explaining my overly paranoid concerns to Claudia and Tony while AJ tried to be calming by letting me know it is okay, which inside I know I probably have him all worried too but he just cant show me that. Out of know where, just like her daddy, she had waited until the very last minute of our 20 weeks to FINALLY KICK!!!! I couldn’t even believe it!! Not only did she kick once but 4 times!! It was soooo amazing. I know by my ever growing waistline and an array of many other symptoms that I am pregnant but it’s like now I feel really pregnant. LOL! What a great feeling! Often I feel like someone is going to pinch me to wake me up to tell me this was all a dream, but now I am convinced. I have a real life inside of me that is growing like a weed and we can’t wait to see her. She was probably thinking fine mom, just stop worrying about me already. I will kick so you can calm yourself. LOL!
By the way maybe some babies flutter but not our baby. As my dad often referred to me, it is more like a truck horse. AJ and I are certainly anything but graceful or smooth and apparently our baby is one in the same…..
12 Week Ultrasound

We went to the doctor Monday and we have yet to see the sex of the baby. Unfortunately the baby isn’t developed enough in that area to determine. Thanks to Claudia suggesting I drink some freshly squeezed OJ before the appointment our baby was jumping around like crazy!!!!!! We cannot believe how quickly the baby is growing!!! The difference between 9 weeks and 12 weeks is huuuge!!! So far we think this baby looks just like AJ. Check out the baby’s head and mouth!! That is AJ all the way. I don’t mind a mini AJ! I could only be so lucky to have a little man who looks just like my big handsome man!!!!! Even if it is a girl she will have the biggest smile ever if she has AJ’s mouth and how about those lips…they are perfect!!! Okay enough gushing over my very sexy man. We’ll keep you posted as we have another appointment this coming Monday. There is a chance we will see the sex of the baby and if not we will have to wait until our 18 week appointment!!!! I should have some pics of my belly soon, as people are starting to say I am showing….even the drive thru guy at McDonald’s asked.
February 24, 2010 IntelliGender
We took the IntelliGender at home pee test and it lit up green right away and stayed that way, meaning that it is a boy. Now the accuracy is 90% in lab tests and 80% in real world tests, but I did find a lot of success stories. Unfortunately my niece Julia was not part of the success rate however she did take the test before the recommended 10 weeks. To further research the manufacture’s claims I searched reviews and found 30 that had great results and 2 that did not. Hmmmm….. Guess we will see either at 12 weeks or 18 weeks. I will keep you posted, but AJ still assures us that it is indeed a boy.
February 18, 2010 9 Week Ultrasound
The baby is 9 weeks!!! The nurse still thinks it is a boy. If you look closely on the bottom left it looks like the female private area could now be forming into a male. As you may or may not know, and we certainly didn’t, that a baby always starts as a girl then forms into a boy right around this time. I am happy either way, but the nurse seems pretty sure and so does AJ. Our doctor just laughed so go figure….. I am happy either way, but would love for AJ to have his son!!
For Ali….
As my brother Ali so kindly reminded me with his words of wisdom regarding his own family and the blessings he has received I thought this quote to be so be perfect and timely as it is eloquently stated. “Good family life is never an accident but always an achievement by those who share it.” – James H.S. Bossard
February 05, 2010 7 Week Ultrasound
We went to the doctor this week to follow up on the heart beat. When we heard it last week they said it was a little slow which is normal as we are still very early. This time it was a strong and fast heartbeat!! The doctor was so excited she hugged us and typed hi mommy and daddy on the ultrasound pic although I accidentally cut that part off! I had to take a 100 pics because AJ (the expert photographer) is not at home. I just realized I cut it off and don’t feel like starting over again, however we will have a new one 2/16 and will gladly post it including the hi daddy and mommy part. It is late and this happens to be my only opportunity to post a blog this weekend as I have committed to chilling with my honey bunny all weekend. Nothing but rest this weekend for Misto B (who needs a pic of himself up ASAP), Gino/Charli, daddy, and mommy.
Okay…so check out the pic. Is our baby standing already??? Per Julia he looks like a little gummy bear. How cute does that sound? The nurse and AJ think it is a boy due to the appendage sticking out on the left side. Hmmmm…. Maybe its an Italian nose??? At any rate he/she is just perfect in my eyes.
As far as AJ’s morning sickness goes I believe he is officially in the clear with a few upset stomachs here and there but no more puking thank goodness. Kind of makes me sad as they say male morning sickness is a sign of closeness with the mommy and baby. Ha-ha!!
We received our first baby gift today from Ginger and Terry which is AJ’s ma’s co-worker. It was soooo exciting. She got us a ducky bath robe, blanket with elephants, an elephant rattle, and baby wash clothes. We love it…..so thanks Ginger and Terry!!!! It brought tears to my eyes. I just couldn’t believe how sweet that was.
Okay as I close… one last and final thought. Do you guys believe that Sunday I will be 2 months prego!!! 2 more weeks and we will be taking the at home pee test to determine the sex of the baby. 80% accuracy, but close enough for AJ’s curiosity…and mine.
Stand by for further details……..
January 26, 2010
We are officially 6 weeks pregnant!!!!! We saw the heart beat today and the baby which is the size of a piece of rice, 6milimeters to be exact. Our due date is 9/19/10, which is 2 days after my 30th birthday. Can you imagine a better birthday gift??? I cannot tell you how happy we are to know everything is right on track. I am so grateful. All I could feel once I saw his or her heartbeat was calmness and peace. That has since worn off and I want to pinch myself as I cannot wait for the next big moment…and they are all big to us. Next week we go in to see the heart beat again. The baby is so early in its development that the heart is often a little slower, but by next Tuesday we should be up to a full heart beat. WE ARE SOOOO EXCITED!
P.S. Morning sickness has now officially kicked in…..oh joy.
Actually in some weird way it is soothing. It reminds me my baby is in there growing like a weed. As my doctor put it, if I am crabby and feel like shit we have a happy healthy baby on our hands.
